MembraSAL solves that. Using reverse osmosis, the system removes virtually all salts and minerals from your water — the right choice for brackish or saline well water, for example at homes on the coast.
Around 25% of the water is discharged as waste water in the process. Not a flaw, simply how full desalination works.
One thing to know: the water coming straight out of the unit is very pure — which also means it no longer contains any minerals. Want to drink the water? Then add mineralisation, so the same installation gives you water of drinking-water quality: you buy the Mineralisation housing 20 inch once, after which you only replace the Mineralisation cartridge 20 inch. You set how many minerals go back in yourself, using a bypass line: that way you decide the balance between pure osmosis water and drinking water with minerals. The right setting depends on your source water — we look at that case by case.
Meanwhile, MembraSAL also protects your expensive equipment: virtually all impurities are removed, so no more limescale or contamination damage to machines that run on this water.
The systems are just as powerful as larger installations, yet compact enough for any hospitality space — even where room is tight.
Without added minerals, MembraSAL is also very well suited to uses where the water is not drunk, such as hospitality or window cleaners. For applications such as hospitals or dental practices, where rinse water must be free of bacteria, a stricter standard applies — we also tailor that to each situation.
Available from single applications up to the larger volumes of hospitality and businesses, such as restaurants, hotels, campsites, window cleaners and dental practices.
This version delivers 500 litres per hour, with two membranes, and is suitable for water with up to 2,000 ppm of dissolved solids. Includes a pre-filter housing with a cartridge against scaling on the membranes, feed pump and control panel, on a plastic wall frame. The first set of pre-filters and membranes is included in the price. Optional on request (surcharge): storage system, modem and cleaning kit.
