You decide what comes out of your tap
PFAS are thousands of man-made substances that barely break down in nature. That is how they also end up in your drinking water.
Significantly reduce PFAS in your drinking and cooking water, at a single tap or in the whole house. Choose below where you want the filter and you will see straight away what suits you. If you want the maximum, choose reverse osmosis, and we then add the minerals back in.
Something you will hardly find anywhere else: you set for yourself how many minerals go back in.

Tap water, single tap
A cartridge under the kitchen tap, for your drinking and cooking water.
- ViruLEX & SorCA · starter set Recommendedfrom €131,05Suitable for every household. One cartridge, two technologies. Activated carbon significantly reduces PFAS and largely removes chlorine, off-taste and odour. An ultrafiltration membrane stops bacteria, viruses and microplastics. The starter set is the filter head with one cartridge in the size that matches your usage: Small 5,500, Medium 11,000 or Large 22,000 litres. For comparison: a family of four uses around 3,800 litres a year for drinking and cooking.View →
- SorCA PFAS special · starter set€471,90Our strongest cartridge against PFAS. Two cartridges filter one after the other, on a double filter head. Each cartridge contains a resin column specifically tuned to PFAS, plus activated carbon. Resin and carbon each capture different types of PFAS, and it is together that they achieve the best result. Chlorine, off-taste and odour are largely removed. Because there are two cartridges, the set lasts twice as long: 22,000 litres of water instead of 11,000. For comparison: on average, a person in the Netherlands uses around 950 litres a year for drinking and cooking, and a family of four around 3,800 litres. So that is plenty for a year; after that you replace both cartridges. For everything together, including showering, washing and the toilet, a family of four uses around 188,000 litres a year. If you want to filter all of that water, choose a whole-house system.View →

What is PFAS?
PFAS are thousands of man-made substances that barely break down in nature. That is how they also end up in water. They repel water, grease and dirt and withstand heat, which is why they have been used in many products since the 1940s.
Where is PFAS found?
- Kitchennon-stick pans, baking paper, fast food and snack packaging
- Clothing and outdoor sportsrain and outdoor clothing, shoes, ski wax
- At homestain- and water-repellent upholstery and carpet, paint, cleaning products
- Personal carecosmetics, such as some make-up and creams
- Technology and productionfirefighting foam, lubricants, electronics, coatings
Part of our daily lives for over 85 years
- 1938Discovered by accidentIn a laboratory, PTFE is created, later known as Teflon: a substance that almost nothing sticks to.
- 1950sKitchen and homeNon-stick pans, and stain- and water-repellent treatments for furniture and carpet.
- 1960sFirefighting foamFoam for putting out fires, used by fire services and airports.
- 1970sRainwearBreathable, waterproof rain and outdoor clothing.
- 1980s and '90sAlmost everywhereFood packaging, cosmetics, lubricants, electronics and much more.
- from 2000The tide turnsManufacturers stop using the best-known PFAS. PFOA has been banned in the EU since 2020, and in 2023 five countries, including the Netherlands, propose restricting the entire group.
- 2026Drinking water standardSince January, European standards for PFAS in drinking water apply; Dutch drinking water meets them.
What the government advises
- Tap water in the Netherlands meets the European PFAS standard for drinking water that has applied since 12 January 2026 (RIVM).
- Around certain factories and business parks, additional advice applies, for example for vegetable gardens or the use of groundwater. Check the website of your municipality or province for details.
How to significantly reduce PFAS
Significantly reduces PFAS and largely removes chlorine, off-taste and odour. Other chemical residues are also significantly reduced, such as chemical waste from businesses and households (plasticisers, PAHs, pesticides and biocides), nanoparticles, and medicine and hormone residues. SorCA also captures most heavy metals, though not completely: anything that oxidises into a particle escapes absorption.
Choose ViruLEX & SorCA and you also tackle bacteria, viruses, fungi and microplastics. Through ultrafiltration, ViruLEX stops everything from 0.01 micron, up to 99.99999%. The best result in our range, based on 26 years of experience in water technology, brought down to a system for the home.
SorCA or ViruLEX & SorCA, for a single tap or the whole house
Everything SorCA does, plus a resin column specifically tuned to PFAS. Resin and carbon each capture different types of PFAS, so together they reduce PFAS even more strongly. Chlorine, off-taste and odour are largely removed, and other chemical residues are significantly reduced.
SorCA PFAS special, for a single tap
The complete combination of Good and Better achieves more. Reverse osmosis removes virtually everything that is dissolved or suspended in water: PFAS, limescale, chlorine, salts, nitrate, microplastics, medicine and hormone residues, bacteria and viruses. And as an extra, the minerals then go back in.
MembraSAL: Large household, Villa, Desalination, Complete station
More than 99.8% less PFAS. An independent, accredited lab added 20 types of PFAS to water, including PFOA and PFOS. After the filter, all 20 were below the detection limit.

Frequently asked questions
Does my tap water meet the standard?
Yes. Dutch tap water meets the European PFAS standard. With a filter, you can reduce PFAS significantly further, if you choose to.
Does boiling water help against PFAS?
No. Boil-water advice is meant for bacteria. PFAS withstand heat well and do not disappear when water is boiled. Because some water evaporates during boiling, they are left behind in slightly less water. If you want to significantly reduce PFAS in your water, you can do so with our SorCA, SorCA PFAS special or with reverse osmosis.
I have a private well or spring. What suits me?
A whole-house reverse osmosis installation, such as the Large household. It removes virtually all dissolved substances in your water.
How often do I replace the filters?
You replace single-tap cartridges once a year, or sooner if the capacity in litres has been reached. With the PFAS special, you replace both cartridges at the same time. You do this yourself: a quarter turn, no tools needed. With reverse osmosis, you replace the pre-filter every 6 months and the membranes about every 2 years, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Each product page shows exactly what you replace and when.
Do you also deliver to Belgium?
Yes, we deliver in the Netherlands and Belgium, and to the rest of Europe as well.
