A car wash bay with an osmosis installation that kept breaking down more and more often. At Van Mierlo Autoschade in Oosterhout we replaced the old installation with a MembraSAL desalination unit of 250 litres per hour. The result: cars dry spot-free again.
The situation
Van Mierlo Autoschade washes cars after repair in its own wash bay. For the final rinse, the wash bay uses osmosis water: water from which dissolved salts and limescale have largely been removed. That way no limescale spots remain on the paintwork after drying.
The old osmosis installation no longer worked as it should:
- The membranes were due for replacement.
- There were regular breakdowns.
- Cars no longer dried spot-free.
The solution
We replaced the old installation with a MembraSAL desalination unit of 250 litres per hour. It fits in the existing wash bay and connects to the pump and pipes that were already there. MembraSAL monitors itself: the display shows you immediately whether everything is running properly.
The result
- Spot-free drying again. The rinse water is so pure that no limescale spots remain.
- No more breakdowns. The wash bay runs without interruptions again.
- Less maintenance. New membranes and simple operation.
